The Knights of Columbus are known for serving the greater good of their parishes and local communities. Most times they work as individual councils but sometimes they work together for the greater good of their communities. In 2015, St. Matthew's of Norwalk Council #14360 and Our Lady of the Assumption of Fairfield Council #11077 discovered if they joined together to work on a major project, they could do even more for both of their parishes and communities. After a discussion at a Knights District meeting, Grand Knight George Ribellino of Council #14360 and Greg Matera of Council #11077 came to realize that they can work together and raise more money by hosting a charity golf tournament. Since the tournament has started, they have raised tens of thousands of dollars for many local organizations including: Homes for the Brave, Off the Streets, Malta House, CT Fisher House, and Notre Dame Health & Rehabilitation Center and many more.
